A Boutique with a Cause <3
Happy Thursday everyone!
Today I have something a little different I am going to share with you, something I have always been passionate about and a strong advocate for. This is mental health.
Having good mental health is extremely important for a number of reasons, it can affect your physical health, relationships, your career, and the list goes on. From a young age I have always known my goal in life was to help others. Taking care of those around me was so important to me and I always felt so good knowing others were happy and comfortable.
My first psychology course made me realize I was extremely fascinated in the brain and behavior of others. Once I began learning about mental illness, chemical imbalances in the brain, and the science behind behavior, I was hooked. I knew psychology was the way to go. During my undergrad, I continued on the psyc track and added a few mental health courses for electives. I decided I wanted expand my knowledge on the science and correlation between the human brain and behavior. Understanding people, what makes them tick, and why some people act the way they do is extremely intriguing. I will be extending my education by pursuing my graduate degree so that I can provide therapy to those in need of help (emotional support, life coaching, diagnosing a mental illness, or just someone to talk to).
Recently, back in February, I started this blog and wanted to create a fashion centered platform that I could slowly add my passion for mental health and inspiration to. I was not sure just how I would go about doing this because these are totally different realms of interest, so I figured maybe fashion blogging could be a hobby of mine.
Here is when it all changed;
Brit Rose Boutique was at first a cute clothing store I stumbled upon online. I saw they had my style of clothing and I figured I could help them grow as a small business. When I went on to look at their website, I found out they were based upon a larger foundation. This was a boutique with a cause.
Brit Rose was the daughter of the owner of the boutique who dealt with mental illness and online bullying. She unfortunately is no longer with us due to the horrible affects mental illness and bullying brought upon her.
Her mother is a positive spirit with a strong heart who wanted to bring awareness to the world of suicide, mental illness, and bullying. She runs this amazing non profit organization to help those who struggle with these issues by raising the needed funds and bringing awareness to society.
**I recently have experienced cyber bullying myself, and felt as if I had been called to share this incredible organization and help this shop with a cause grow so that others can understand more about the importance of mental health and affects that online bullying can have on others.**
By shopping at Brit Rose, you are helping families in need of support that cannot afford the proper help or treatment, while providing education to those who do not know about mental illness and the dangers of bullying and affects that it can have on others.

Mint Pop Shop
We are almost half way through the week y’all, hope it’s been good so far!
I wanted to share with you guys this adorable denim blue lace up top from Mint Pop Shop. I kid you not, this top is one of the softest tops in my closet right now. I don’t know why it is so darn soft but I literally could sleep in it if I wanted to!
It is a cold shoulder design and the straps are adjustable which can completely alter the look you are going for which is nice. The lace up front can be tied like I did, or you can let them hang down for a more casual look. I have on a bralette underneath so the lace up opening could stay open without being too revealing. I paired it with my favorite white skinny jeans but you could dress it down once again and throw on some cute denim or white shorts! Lastly, I put on my gold earrings (link below) from Mint Pop Shop and was ready for the day!

This amazing She + Sky romper from Pinup Darling Boutique is my new obsession, and I have to tell y’all all about it!
The material is super soft and light weight, almost a silk like quality, zip up back to give you full coverage, and a low V with a bow for that added pop of decoration! The color is incredible, I would say a magenta/ fuchsia mix. It is the most perfect romper for summer! I paired it with some of my favorite lace up heels, and gold jewelry.
I absolutely love the flowy girly quality of this romper! If you know me, you know I have a thing for draped sleeves like these ❤

Today I wanted to share my new FAVORITE rose gold watch. It is from Welly Merck and I am seriously in love!! I chose the Classic New York style because it felt super girly and chic with the white face and I have never owned a rose gold watch before!

Pineapple Collective Summer Dress
Summer is definitely here and I can’t even begin to explain how thrilled I am! Vacation dresses like this one from Pineapple Collective are so perfect for hot and sunny days or a beach trip!
My favorite thing about this dress is all of the cutouts- it makes it feel much more casual and adds to the uniqueness of the dress. It was also super lightweight which made it so comfortable to wear in the Texas heat! I’m wearing a size small, but it is also surprisingly quite adjustable. There are two ties- around your neck and around your back, so depending on how large or small you want it on top, it can be done!

This week I got to dance around in this adorable Buddy Love pink Maxwell Dress from Rosy & Co Boutique. It is seriously so comfortable and of course, OTS (my fav)! It’s very girly and has lots of material so you don’t have to worry about it blowing all over the place in the wind! It is fitted under the bust with elastic and an extra ruffle layer on top.

This floral dress is one of my new favs for sure! It comes in blue AND pink! I love it for this time of the year because it is super lightweight so the long flowy sleeves don’t make you hot at all. I love the cross over v neck on the top, it really adds to the design of the dress. & did I mention the floral pattern?! If you haven’t noticed, I’m kind of obsessed with the floral patterns this Spring! I’m pretty sure half of my closet is overflowing with it!
